The "handbags at dawn" continued in the high court yesterday, where "Sensitive Steve Horkulak" is suing his former employers Cantor Fitzgerald, the brokerage and litigation company, for £1.5 million. In testimony yesterday the poor cherub described how he found his bosses constant swearing unbearable, and thinking about it he has a point. I am sensitive most mornings and I hate to imagine how difficult it would be if every night I was going out until 3am, snorting a gram of coke and drinking 8 bottles of lager and 10 vodkas.
All precious "Sensitive" wants is an admission that he was treated like dirt and personally I think that this poor chap who was obviously "forced" into becoming an alcoholic, stop-out, lap-dancing afficianado, junkie whilst his wife and 3 children were at home has every right. So come on Cantors say sorry and Mr Amaitis if you go onto the dealing floor in the morning and see a member of staff a bit worse for wear due to a drink and drug fuelled whorefest, then please don't shout, give the guy a hug.
Nothing to report on the markets prior to the FOMC announcement this afternoon. Our only position is short AZN.
