That swine Potter has been sending me text messages from the slopes, I mean ski slopes not Japan, informing me what a wonderful time he is having. I meanwhile have to contend with doing his job as well as mine and I can tell you it is not easy to rant all by yourself.
Considering the level of hype in the market I can't help but feel that we are entering the final phase of the current down trend and the reaction to tonights state of the Union will be interesting. As you know from my prediction for the year I favour a move higher from these levels HOWEVER this does not mean I am cutting my current short position. We will not turn our position around until the market and the technicals allow us to.

Yes it's true. I am out with my chum "Boggie" from Dublin, a former investment banker, now vintner who also happens to be a bit of a commie pinko subversive. I always look forward to these evenings, which is a result as I generally can't remember them afterwards!
